a thought ...

Well, it is the first day of Steedly School today ..so that is where our focus will be starting in about 30 seconds when those little feet I hear on the floor above me come clomping down the stairs :) It will be a fun day in the Steedly house!

The day doesnt allow for a long post, but I did want to share a great verse I found and placed in the context of utilizing our resources for God, it made me smile!

Philippians 2:12b-16a ..."Keep on working with fear and trembling to complete your salvation, because God is always at work in you to make you willing and able to obey his own purpose (hmm...seems familiar :)

Then, how interesting that this verse follows that promise ..."Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may be innocent and pure as God's perfect children, who live in a world of corrupt and sinful people. You must shine among the them like stars lighting up the sky, as you offer them the message of life." (GNT)

On a day (week, or month) that many of us are feeling overwhelmed with our current purpose (teaching our children at home, or even preparing them to leave the nest for school) we must remember that we have been created to do the purpose of the God we serve ..he has made us willing, able and provided all that we need to do complete that assignment!

Now, do it without complaining or arguing (I hear some arguing coming in our future ...after all the fun wears off ..for mom and the boys!) so that we may shine like the stars!

Blessings on your day..whatever it holds!

Welcome ifellowshippers! So glad you are here!
